australian non broadcast television standards

This web site is set up for the development of Australian Non Broadcast Television Standards and came about when Les Simmonds, the Chairman of the Non Broadcast Television committee and Vlado Damjanovski, the Chairman of the CCTV sub committee toured Australia together conducting CCTV Awareness Seminars for Standards Australia. During the seminars they found the majority of attendees believed a standards feedback avenue would be helpful for the industry and the integrity of the standards.

At all of the CCTV awareness seminars Les and Vlado received valuable and high quality feedback from the attendees. As the seminars progressed the attendee feedback caused them to consider other ways of addressing the requirement to participate in the CCTV standards process. There was a strong desire from the attendees, without being part of the Standards Australia CCTV sub committee, to comment on existing CCTV standards as well as on new CCTV standards in their embryonic and building stages.

There is also a strong desire from Les and Vlado to obtain non proprietary professional comment and ideas on all existing and new CCTV standards from the various industries associated with CCTV. Les and Vlado believe that this process will give the whole CCTV industry a chance to participate in a truly representative standards development methodology.
